Retreat to the Redwood forests and rolling hills of Ratna Ling. Join us for relaxing weekend of Tibetan Yoga practices, fresh and nourishing vegetarian meals, and accommodations for two nights in a peaceful Cottage enveloped in nature.
Gentle Tibetan Yoga movements and breathing practices enhance a sense of spaciousness and develop joyous feelings. These exercises help to calm both body and mind, creating a smooth transition to meditation. Called "Kum Nye" in Tibetan, these practices open our senses and our hearts so that we feel satisfied and fulfilled, and can appreciate more fully every aspect of our lives. Even in a short time, the quality of experience can be enriched, and our lives grow more harmonious. If weather allows, some sessions will take place outdoors, where the beauty of nature will help foster and expand inner joy.
In this weekend retreat you can experience:
• Several Tibetan Yoga sequences that can be learned and then practiced at home
• Breathing exercises that help relax the body and calm the mind
• Tibetan Yoga self-massage techniques for relaxing in the evening for a peaceful night’s sleep
• Tibetan Meditation techniques like the seven-gesture posture and mantras for focusing the mind
Rosalyn White, B.F.A., has studied Tibetan practices for over 40 years, including Tibetan Yoga (Kum Nye), meditation, visualization and art. She has illustrated numerous books and has taught at the Nyingma Institute in Berkeley for over 20 years.
